Peja Municipality

Session: Tourism-Agri-Food-Processing Innovation, Sustainability and Economic Growth

I am Blerta Harxhi Begolli, a professional with over 26 years of experience working with major organizations in post-conflict state-building and community development. Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to creating meaningful change through projects that address social, cultural, and economic challenges in my community and beyond. For the past decade, I have served as a Senior Project Planner Officer in tourism sector, leading and coordinating cross-border initiatives that foster regional cooperation and contribute to the well-being of local communities. I take great pride in the tangible results that our projects have brought to Peja municipality, strengthening partnerships and opening new opportunities for collaboration.

While my career has taken me through diverse roles, one constant passion has been connecting people, ideas, and cultures. This passion has drawn me toward cultural diplomacy — a field I see as a powerful tool for building mutual understanding and promoting positive narratives in post-conflict societies. I believe that through cultural exchange and heritage-driven initiatives, communities can heal, connect, and thrive. With my extensive project management experience, I remain dedicated to supporting initiatives that celebrate diversity, foster dialogue, and contribute to sustainable peacebuilding.
