With over 18 years of regional and international experience, Bleta Begu is a senior consultant supporting the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on flagship programmes that drive the green, sustainable and digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises across the Western Balkans. 

Through her communications leadership on initiatives like SME Reboot, Go Green, and Go Digital Programmes, Bleta works at the crossroads of sustainable finance, renewable energy, and digitalisation. She partners closely with (20+) Financial Institutions to help hundreds of businesses transition to low-carbon models, boost competitiveness, and align with EU standards.
Bleta’s work spans countries including Kosovo, North Macedonia and Albania, where her deep regional experience has been instrumental in navigating local market dynamics and providing strategic consultancy. In addition, she collaborates extensively with diverse international teams and donors enriching her perspective and enhancing her ability to drive cross-cultural partnerships and innovative solutions.

A strong advocate for inclusive development, Bleta also plays a key role in promoting gender equality in the energy sector, through different programmes and as a member of the Women in Energy and Mining. She holds an MBA in Management and a Bachelor’s in Finance, and is known for her strategic approach to communication, stakeholder engagement, and impact storytelling.
